Ep 37 | Quantum Sensitivity: Listening to Your Body's Intelligent Design Amid Life's Signals
Welcome to Rise and Realign. Conversations for the sensitive soul. I'm Melissa, and this space is for those of us who feel deeply, love fiercely, and sense the world in ways that are hard to explain, but impossible to ignore. Here, we honor your sensitivity as a strength, not something to fix. Through reflections, realignment, and soul led stories. We remember how to move through life in a way that feels true to who we really are. This is your space to rise. To realign. And to come home again and again to your own wise, sensitive, authentic self.
So last week, episode 36 was Quantum Sensitivity, reclaiming your rhythm from inherited patterns. And this episode turns things inward to how we can reclaim our natural rhythm. Again, our ability to see these patterns is really part of what I'm referring to as quantum sensitivity. It's my way of naming this multidimensional intelligence. It bridges that scientific research on having the high sensitivity trait with the deeper truth that we are living in a sea of consciousness, made of energy, light, frequency, and waves of information.
Those of us who are, whether you identify yourself as a highly sensitive person or really delve into the research, you don't have to. Many people use different words to describe their heightened sensitivity, and I'm not here to diminish anybody's language. I just personally, from my journey of being sparked in psychology interests and then social work in my young adulthood, having lived more in that science based world, the material earthly plane for the first 38 years of my life, and then having that spiritual awakening or soul remembrance, found this great bridging between Dr. Elaine Aron's research and the ongoing research. I want you to know, this is not just research that was done over 30 years ago. There's ongoing research that talks about how we sense, in 2026 actually, there have been several studies that talk about the differences in what we sense, perceive, with that high resolution navigational system as I have called it. I like to include the science side, but it's okay either way. You know, I just want you to know that I honor you as a listener and someone who resonates with the information that's coming through me to share.
Today for me, I'm actually recording this from Gunnison, Colorado, where there are some very large fires around, and it has really impacted the air quality where I am. This fire started like the first day that we actually arrived, and thankfully, I was able to get to the Blue Mesa Reservoir, and just be in the water and connect with nature, and I'm just really grateful for that experience. But since then, the fire has really been impacting my very sensitive body, and I have come to the realization that we need to depart this area. And we'll do so in the coming days.
And a lot has just been coming up since I've been in this area, like within my own body. I'm pretty sure I have shared that tuning into our bodies is one of the most important teachings that I have when I'm supporting sensitive women, because oftentimes that depth of processing, where we're really thinking on a lot of different things, can keep us very much in what we might call our head, and not as connected to our felt sense in our body. We do have this sensory intelligence. Your sensitivity is intelligent design, but we don't always understand it, know how to connect to it, or how to listen to it.
But I've been paying attention to my body's signals, and it's clear that it's just not healthy for me to be at this elevation, and again, with the air quality. Also, in this time, I've also been communicating with a loved one. And this is where I talk about being a spiral guide, and what that is about. Spiral Guide covers so many things as far as pattern recognition, and ancestral lineage coming back up to the surface. And being aware that a loved one is having their own physical health challenges just brings up my own history, which, if you've been listening to my other episodes, you've probably heard, I came into this world with this highly sensitive body, as is the case. And invisible, innate survival strategy, and mine was very active from early on in infancy.
When I recognize, when we are connecting more with ourselves, that take a break and breathe love practice that we do on every episode, and what I encourage you to do every day for yourself, is so important because we don't always understand the body's messages, and I really always want to honor wherever you are on your journey. Because where I am today and how I address my body's discomforts and communications is not how I used to deal with it. And I remember being in my 20s and going through some of the most difficult physical health challenges.
But anyway, it really is this full circle. Being a spiral guide is helping us understand that there are cycles, there are rhythms, there are patterns. And oftentimes, we get really pulled into the density, the fear, what's wrong. What do I need to do? And there are times when that is the response. Like, again, in my 20s, I was in and out of the hospital more times than I could probably ever count. That was because of heart issues, because of motor vehicle accidents, because of infertility, miscarriages, traumatic pregnancies, births, like, just a whole slew of reasons. So I've definitely walked the path where I didn't know what I know now. None of us do. We're all where we are in each moment.
And I just feel it's so important to honor where you are on your journey right now, because as I experience a loved one going through what they are going through, and I'm reminded of my own experiences, that quantum sensitivity that I talk about is something that is so disregarded with many medical facilities. And I say that because I understand like emergency rooms are there to assess, is this life or death? And if it's not, then they want to send you on your way. But when somebody is returning repeatedly, because the issue hasn't resolved, and they don't know why, like, this is why knowing if you're a highly sensitive person and really understanding what your body makeup is, matters.
Again, because my own health journey expanded into a holistic practice, as an integrative mental health professional, I have trained with medical doctors. I have trained on multiple different types of genetic testing, epigenetic testing, routine labs, what supplements support who, why, and really understanding. And there's so much to that that can be overwhelming, but oftentimes, when we're dealing with the medical facilities, say, emergency rooms and medical centers that are dealing with insurance-based primarily, they are not ordering like the kind of tests that I've had that I've been able to learn and understand about my body's unique makeup.
And so again, I just want to hold space for those of you out there who know that your body's communicating something. But, maybe it's just not clear. And maybe the doctors that you visit don't know. And so they give you a test or they give you a medication, or maybe they say, it's nothing. But that's not necessarily the full picture. And so, I always want to encourage you to trust yourself, no matter where you are on this journey. Like, finding that moment where you can take a break and breathe love and acknowledge that you're feeling, you are sensing, you are intuiting, or you are knowing, whatever one of those words most resonates for your experience, that something's off. Something is out of balance for you, and it does need attention. It does need exploration. Like, be true to you.
And I understand that there can be a fine line between when are we feeding that fear, that voice of protection, as I call it? That again, it's there to keep you alive, keep you safe. We want to be able to honor that voice. But we also want to take a break and breathe love where you are connected to that one source, where your own soul has a voice, and it can help you navigate.
So, this is just something that I feel really passionate about. This quantum sensitivity that we experience is something to understand, first and foremost, yourself, because when we look outside of ourselves, to all these different professionals, who again, have taken an oath, and who are looking to do no harm, and to really help, there's still these other factors, as to what may be limiting their time with you, or them ordering the test that you would be more beneficial. And this just kind of opens the door to that quantum level as I really want to bring us to. Because the idea of separation and lack and limitation, that comes in really strong and loud with that voice of protection. And, this is something that I delve into way more deeply when I'm supporting a woman, one on one, in individual sessions or in a group session, so I can really only cover so much on this podcast. But I just really want to speak to you in the sense of, you have your own guidance coming from within you, and it's important to trust it.
And you may have been raised with challenges to navigate, as most of us highly sensitive individuals are. And that's again not to punish us, even though there's that differential susceptibility where we definitely suffer more when we're in an unhealthy environment situation, and when our body's out of balance. But that suffering is calling for our attention. It's calling for us to take a break, to breathe love, and to remember that there is so much more that's going on than meets the eye. Gosh, we look so much to the metrics, to measurements, to even bank accounts. Like, that is not the whole picture. You know, just like we are whole beings, mind, body, soul. There are multiple levels to understanding our experiences.
And I just feel like I need to take a break and breathe love right now. I invite you to join me. I already have my hand on my heart. I invite you to place a hand on your heart and feel into your body. What is it feeling right now? What is it signaling for you? What is it asking for? For more attention, for more love, for more rest. For deeper trust and communication. I invite you to take a nice deep breath in through your nose, whatever's possible for you right now, honoring your body, and then exhale long and slow out your mouth. Again, that exhale out your mouth signals to the nervous system, it's okay, you can relax. Oftentimes, we're walking around, not even realizing that we're just stuck in that stress mode. I used to call myself high strung. Let's change that. Let's flip the script for us as sensitive souls and these amazingly intelligent designs. Our body as a sacred vessel that's communicating.
So breathing in through your nose, again honoring your pace, exhaling out your mouth. Just relaxing, releasing what you don't need to carry in this moment. And again, honoring your pace, your rhythm. Exhaling. Remember, you are so much more than just what you can see, taste, touch, and hear. And you, as a sensitive individual, can hear more than roughly 80% who don't have this type of sensory intelligence. So, it is a gift. But when we don't understand our gift, it can become our greatest challenge in different situations, because the effects of staying in that stress mode compound, and that's when our physical health starts speaking really loudly. And that's when, oftentimes, we feel like we need a medication. We need a test. We need a procedure. Believe me, I've done all of that, too. But I invite you to know that there are other ways that you can honor what your body's communicating, how you are living. How you can rise above old conditioning, old patterns, and how you can become the witness to what is flowing through you.
Because remember, quantum sensitivity is that multidimensional intelligence. It is both this high sensitivity trait, which is that more finely tuned nervous system, and how your neuroanatomy is just a little bit more precise, with that deeper truth that we are all living in this sea of consciousness. Again, energy, light, frequency, waves of information that come from so many different areas of our life, so many different directions. So it really is so important that you take care of you.
I wanted to take a minute to also acknowledge the 20 year olds. This is such a time of life transitions. And depending on the upbringing that we received, and not just our parents and our schools, but what type of genetic makeup did we come into this world with that then those environmental inputs determine whether those switches get turned on or not. It's when we're in our 20s, that now we're just, okay, we're independent, we're on our own, and we're navigating things that don't make a lot of sense.
And so, I really feel passionate about supporting sensitive and strong women in their 20s to really understand that your sensitivity is intelligent design, and I want to gift my essentials course for the next 48 hours from this podcast publishing. Depending on what time zone. So I won't say what day that ends, just 48 hours from when this podcast is published. I really feel that the education around high sensitivity and the mind, body, soul, information in this essentials course, that I have pulled together from my 15 years of really focusing in all three areas, is beneficial and supportive so that you can feel more confident in understanding yourself, your needs, how to align each day for you and how you're most supported.
So, I will have at the checkout, you do indicate what year you were born, so that again, we're honoring that this gift is for women in their 20s. And you can type in the code ACCESS20S, and that's a gift from my heart to you because, what I'm experiencing here in my own body right now because of the elevation and the fires and what my loved one is experiencing and reminding me of from my 20s, I just really want to be able to respect and honor how different our care is as a highly sensitive individual. And to really help you understand, because this is not education that we get in schools, doctors' offices. Like, this is something that I feel has made a huge difference in my life, in understanding and supporting my children, and all of the highly sensitive women who I've been supporting, both individually and group.
And I do also have The Re-Align Circle for Sensitive and Strong Women in their 20s, which is an additional monthly gathering, so that women in their 20s can come together. And so, you're certainly invited to explore that, those of you who are in your 20s. And just know that that course is available for all ages because there is a module where I cover all stages, our awakening, our 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, and beyond, pregnancy, motherhood. But in addition to understanding your brain, your nervous system, how to exercise, like how to really honor your unique design, and of course, the spirit side, because we often get disconnected from that source. And as a sensitive woman, that's where your true power is, is reconnecting with what's wise and authentic and true within you.
So, I'm going to honor my own physical communication right now, which is, my breath is not quite as deep as I feel comfortable. So I'm going to close today. And just invite you to, again, remember how important it is to return to your breath, to your body, to what feels true for you right now, and in each and every day. So there's nothing you need to fix. There's nothing wrong with you. It's about noticing what is here, so that you can start to understand the communication that your body's giving you, where things may be out of balance and how you can realign with what is most beneficial for you.
So where the heart leads, the body remembers, and the soul awakens. As a reminder, we are here together to rise, reclaim, remember. And as always, I'm so truly grateful that you're here. Your presence is so important and it matters, and your voice matters. So I invite you to, again, speak up for yourself in whatever situation you feel like you're not being heard, so that you get the care and the attention and the respect that you truly deserve and need. And just remember that if you'd like to walk this sensitive and strong path with me, I'm here each week for this podcast, and you can explore everything else at realignwithmelissa.com. Take good care of you. Much love and light.
