The Quiet After the Storm

June 1, 2026 ~ Waning Gibbous ~ 99% Illumination ~ The Phase of Integration
Dear Beautiful,
I hope this Moon Day letter finds you in a moment of gentle rest, perhaps noticing how the energy has shifted since the Full Moon.
I am writing to you from a place of deep honesty. This weekend was intense for me.
The Full Moon arrived with a powerful energy, and I felt it in my bones. On Saturday, I did physical labor in my yard, working with the earth. It felt good in the moment. But by Sunday, my body simply said: Enough.
I needed extra sleep. I woke up really hot. I needed deep, heavy recovery. And I just didn't feel like my usual vibrant self.
Immediately, my mind went to its programs. Is this hormones? Am I getting sick? Something must be wrong.
Can you relate? How quickly the mind reaches for a problem to solve, a label to attach, a fix to find?
But then I paused. I placed my hand on my heart. And I breathed.
And what arose was a quieter truth: This is integration.
My body had just processed a Full Moon. A weekend of physical labor. A wave of emotional and energetic intensity that comes with being a sensitive woman in a world that never stops.
My body wasn't breaking down. It was integrating the download.
The Moon Mirrors the Mind
For us sensitive women, the moon does not just influence the tides. It influences the thought waves.
When the moon is full, the light is at its peak. The energy is at its most expressive. Everything that has been building in the dark comes to the surface to be seen.
And when the moon begins to wane, as she is now, the energy shifts from expansion to contraction. From expression to integration.
The Waning Gibbous is still nearly full (99% illuminated), but she has passed her peak. She is now in the phase of release and recalibration.
Your sensitive nervous system feels this shift. You may feel:
- Exhausted, even if you didn't "do" much
- Hot, as if your body is processing something invisible
- Heavy, as if your limbs are filled with water
- Uncertain, wondering why you feel "off" when the world expects you to be productive
The mind will rush in with its programs: Something is wrong. Fix it. Name it. Solve it.
But what if the truth is simpler?
What if your body is simply doing what it was designed to do after a peak of intensity?
It is integrating. It is releasing. It is recalibrating.
Realigning with the Deeper Truth
Here is what I have learned on this spiral:
The mind's programs are fast. They are loud. They are rehearsed. Is this hormones? Am I sick? What's wrong with me?
But the body's truth is quieter. It arrives when you pause. When you breathe. When you stop reaching for a label and instead ask: What is actually happening right now?
For me, the answer was: I am integrating. I am releasing. I am resting because my body asked me to.
Not because something is wrong. Because something is completing.
This is the gift of the Waning Gibbous. She invites us to stop pushing, stop fixing, stop diagnosing, and simply allow the integration.
What is settling in you?
As we move through this week, I invite you to notice:
What did the Full Moon reveal for you? A truth you finally saw? A boundary you needed? An emotion that surfaced?
And now, as the light subtly wanes, what is ready to settle? What is ready to be released?
What is your mind rushing to "fix" that might actually just need space to integrate?
You are not broken. You are becoming.
When you feel that rush of the mind reaching for a label, pause.
- Place a hand on your heart.
- Breathe slowly through your nose.
- Exhale long and slow through your mouth.
Ask: Is this something to fix, or is this something to feel?
Trust the answer that arises from your body, not your programs.
Closing Blessing
As the Waning Gibbous moon begins her quiet descent, may you feel your own energy settling too.
May you trust that the heat, the exhaustion, the "not feeling like yourself" is not a problem to solve. It is a deep integration.
May you honor your need for rest without guilt. May you realign with the quieter truth beneath the mind's rush to fix. May you rise, reclaim your rhythm, and remember the wisdom that already lives within you.
You are exactly where you need to be. 🌖✨
May you continue to rise, reclaim your rhythm, and remember the wisdom that already lives within you.
I’d love to know what this moment is clarifying for you. You’re always welcome to reply and share what you’re noticing.✨
If this reflection felt supportive, feel free to pass it along to another sensitive & strong woman who may need the same reminder today.
We rise together when we pause, breathe, and realign with love.
With moon and heart,
Melissa
