The River & The Inner Compass

June 8, 2026 ~ Last Quarter Moon ~ 50% Illumination ~ The Phase of Release

Dear Beautiful,

I hope this lunar letter finds you well rested and tuning inward to your own natural rhythm.

The moon now sits halfway between full and new, I could see her in the sky when I stepped outside to greet the day this morning. She asks us to turn our gaze inward before we step forward again.

This weekend I needed space. So I walked alone toward the river.

I packed a walking stick, a water bottle, and my cell phone. There were no other people anywhere that I could see or hear as I walked. In fact there were no clear trails, trail heads or maps. Just the path itself.

As I walked the land grew steep and the opening became difficult to find. My mind began to speak immediately.

There were moments when I felt the pull of protection. It whispered that I might get lost. It reminded me that I did not know the way. It suggested that I should turn back because the terrain and what might unfold was too uncertain.

Can you relate to that voice? How quickly it reaches for safety. How fast it tries to label the unknown as danger.

But then I paused. I stopped listening to the prediction and started feeling the wind on my skin. I paused and became curious. And I breathed.

And what arose was a quieter truth. I could find the water.

My body knew the path even when the map was missing. My body was not failing to navigate. It was learning to trust the elements all around me and my own inner guidance.

I eventually found it. A small clearing where the river opened up to a little waterfall. I could put my hands in the cool water. I could feel the beauty and the connection.

It was waiting for me even when the path seemed unclear.


The Moon Mirrors the Mind

For us sensitive women the moon does not just influence the tides. It influences the thought waves.

When the moon is full the light is at its peak. The energy is at its most expressive. Everything that has been building in the dark comes to the surface to be seen.

And when the moon begins to wane as she is now the energy shifts from expansion to contraction. From action to evaluation.

The Last Quarter Moon is still half illuminated but she has passed her peak. She is now in the phase of release and recalibration.

Your sensitive nervous system feels this shift. You may feel:

• Confused wondering which way to turn next 
• Tight as if your mind is trying to solve everything at once
• Hesitant wondering if you are making the right choice
• Uncertain wondering why you feel pulled between moving forward and stopping

The mind will rush in with its programs. Find the map. Get the guarantee. Turn back to safety.

But what if the truth is simpler?

What if your body is simply doing what it was designed to do after a peak of intensity?

It is releasing. It is grounding. It is connecting.


Realigning with the Deeper Truth

Here is what I have learned on this spiral:

The mind's protective voice is fast. It is loud. It is rehearsed. I might get lost. I do not know the way or the outcome. I need a map.

But the body's truth is quieter. It arrives when you pause. When you breathe. When you stop reaching for a guarantee and instead ask. What is actually happening right now?

For me the answer was. I am navigating. I am connecting. I am resting in the knowing that I am capable of finding my way.

Not because I have a map. Because I have my breath.

This is the gift of the Last Quarter Moon. She invites us to stop planning. Stop forcing. Stop predicting. And simply allow the connection.


What is settling in you?

As we move through this week I invite you to notice:

What did the Halfway Point reveal for you? A pattern you finally saw? A habit you needed? An emotion that surfaced?

And now as the light subtly wanes what is ready to settle? What is ready to be released?

What is your mind rushing to solve that might actually just need space to unfold?

You are not lost. You are becoming.

When you feel that rush of the mind reaching for a guarantee pause.

• Place a hand on your heart.
• Breathe slowly through your nose.
• Exhale long and slow through your mouth.

Ask. Is this something to fix or is this something to feel?

Trust the answer that arises from your body not your programs.
