The Mind and the Moon: Seeing Clearly, Choosing Wisely

Dear Beautiful,

This week’s letter is a reflection on the harmony between the mind and the moon. When we pause, breathe, and return to our body’s rhythm, our inner moon becomes visible again - steady, reflective, and full of quiet wisdom.

Lately I’ve been thinking about how the mind moves like the moon - shifting from brightness into shadow, from knowing into not knowing, and back again. There are days when my thoughts feel illuminated, when everything makes sense, and others when clarity wanes and I can’t find the thread. I’ve learned that neither is wrong.

Just as the moon never disappears, our wisdom doesn’t either. It’s simply hidden behind the clouds of thought until we slow down enough to see it again. When I commit to myself -pausing, breathing, listening - clarity returns naturally. The mind becomes like still water, and the reflection of my inner moon shines through.

  3. Evening Moment: Step outside or look through a window tonight. Even if the sky is dark, imagine the moon’s presence above you and whisper, “I am aligned with the rhythm of my own inner light.”
