What we give our attention to is what grows. For the highly sensitive individual, this is not just a saying; it is a biological reality. When we are exposed to fear, chaos, or the "darker side" of the news, our finely tuned nervous systems absorb it deeply. But when we give our attention to the soul, to connection, and to the light, that grows too.
In this conversation, I speak to the power of discernment. I share why it is essential to pay attention to how you feel when you are exposed to different energies, whether it is the news, a conversation with a loved one, or the collective atmosphere. I talk about the "culture shock" of living in a space of pure positive love energy and then returning to a world that often operates from fear. I also share why it is okay to be the one who sees the pattern, to step away from conversations that drain you, and to trust your felt sense when something feels "off."

What Arose in This Conversation
- What We Give Attention To Grows: This is a fundamental law. For the highly sensitive person, the input we take in shapes our nervous system and our reality. Fear fuels fear. Light fuels light. We must be intentional about what we feed our system.
- Discernment is a Survival Skill: Discernment is not about being judgmental or closed off. It is about protecting your energy so you can remain open to what is true for you. It is the ability to notice the "tension of fear" in others and choose not to absorb it.
- The "Culture Shock" of Awakening: After my spiritual awakening, I experienced a profound shift into pure love energy. Returning to a world that often operates from fear and physical limitation felt like a culture shock. Many awakened souls feel this dissonance.
- Trusting the Felt Sense: When someone talks about the news or a fearful event, and it feels "off" to you, trust that feeling. It is your nervous system telling you that this energy is not healthy for you. Honor that disconnect.
- The Minority Experience: Highly sensitive individuals are in the minority. Not everyone can go into deep conversations about the soul or the universe. It can feel lonely, but it is not a defect. It is a different frequency.
- Coming Home to Your Heart: The antidote to external chaos is not to fight it, but to return to your heart center. The breath is the bridge that brings you back to your own rhythm, your own wisdom, and your own truth.
- You Are the Heart of Humanity: Highly sensitive individuals are the heart of humanity because of your capacity to feel deeply and sense what is under the surface. Your depth of caring is a gift, but it requires you to reel it back in so you do not deplete yourself.
- No Judgment, Only Choice: There is no judgment for those who are physically focused or who operate from fear. They are on their own path. But you are free to choose your own path, to honor your frequency, and to let others have theirs.
