What the Surface Can't Tell You

Apr 06, 2026

April 6, 2026 • Waning Gibbous •  Softening into Clarity

Dear Beautiful,

I hope this lunar letter finds you well and connected with your own inner light of knowing. Have you noticed how clarity sometimes arrives not in the moment of illumination, but in the soft light that follows?

The moon is in her waning gibbous phase right now, still bright and holding much of her fullness, yet gently receding night by night.

After the full moon's peak illumination, we land in this spacious in-between: a time for integration. A time to let what was stirred up begin to soften and settle. It's less about forcing release and more about creating room for what's ready to clarify and reveal itself more fully.

For those of us who process life deeply, this phase can feel especially supportive.

Our nervous systems notice the subtleties: the small shifts in tone, energy, emotion, and environment that others might skim right over. When the light begins to wane, the intensity eases just enough for those quieter truths to rise to the surface.

It's a phase that whispers:

What you sensed beneath the surface? That was real. Keep going inward.

This phase has already been reflecting itself in my own life.

Since Friday, I had been sensing something deeper beneath a recent exchange with another person that involved a second person in the background. On the surface, it looked like something worth questioning. My perspective was challenged, and at first glance, the feedback seemed reasonable. I even turned inward and began to question myself.

But yesterday morning, I gently approached the background person involved. What emerged confirmed what I had felt all along: my intuition had been accurate. The surface story was just that, surface. The truth lived in the layers below, exactly where my sensitive system had been tuning in.

Then this morning, on my brother's birthday, April 6, I paused before writing this letter and checked my podcast stats. After Episode 22, the one with my vulnerable sharing about my 2008 spontaneous spiritual awakening and how the number 22 has woven through my life and my brother's story, all of my episodes had just risen in downloads like overnight.

I sat there smiling, feeling the quiet magic of it, and called to share this with my mom.

It felt like the universe was quietly affirming that what's been unfolding beneath the surface is now coming into form.

Things can appear to shift "overnight" because deeper levels have been working all along. We don't always see the unseen support until we slow down enough to connect inward.

These two experiences feel woven together by this waning gibbous energy. They remind me, and I hope they remind you, that when someone tells us we're "overreacting" or to just look at the surface, we don't have to doubt ourselves we can look more closely and see how sensory intelligent we are.

Our sensitivity is not excess; it's precision. It is deep sensitivity, an intelligent design.

It allows us to perceive a fuller picture, to feel the undercurrents, to sense truths that haven't yet reached the visible layer. The more we trust that inward process, the more we notice how life is quietly supporting our unfolding, whether through an honest conversation that confirms our knowing or a small synchronicity that arrives right on time.

So as we move through these softening days, I want to leave you with a few gentle questions:

  • Where in your life is this waning gibbous inviting you to trust what you feel beneath the surface?
  • Have you noticed any subtle shifts lately, an intuition that proved true, or a quiet synchronicity that met you once you created space to listen inward?
  • What feels ready to integrate or gently release now that the full-moon charge has begun to ease?
  • What would it feel like to honor your sensitivity as a design feature rather than something to manage?

Something New Is Taking Shape

A small update: last week I mentioned a new name for the course I have been creating. Well, the process was not complete apparently, because the name has landed at:

Your Sensitivity Is Intelligent Design

It will be a gentle starting place, an essentials course for sensitive women, unfolding alongside a new seasonal Sensitivity Re-Alignment Spiral. I’m really excited about this and will share more soon. For now, simply know this: there is a space being created where your sensitivity is assumed, honored, and designed for.

Closing Blessing

As the moon's light softens, may you feel your own clarity settling gently into place.

May you trust the quiet spaces where understanding ripens without effort.

May you remember that integration is not a task but a natural unfolding.

May your sensitivity guide you like moonlight on still water - subtle, steady, and true.

And may you continue to rise, reclaim your rhythm, and remember the wisdom that already lives within you.

I’d love to know what this moment is clarifying for you. You’re always welcome to reply and share what you’re noticing.✨

If this reflection felt supportive, feel free to pass it along to another sensitive & strong woman who may need the same reminder today.

We rise together when we pause, breathe, and realign with love.

With moon and heart,
